Celebration of a life

Wind and Rain

A marriage, remembered through the weather.

A figure on a stormy beach, umbrella turned by the wind

Celebration of a life

The story

A nostalgic look back to the early years growing up by the North Sea coastline, through to taking our own children there.

What we were aiming for

Acoustic and deliberately undated, so it belongs to the whole marriage rather than one decade of it. Weather carries the passage of time and does the work an explicit lyric would have flattened.

From the lyrics

We married in a sunlit shower,With raindrops in her hair

What they said

Brought a tear to my eye.
Elsie L · On hearing Wind and Rain
